Bill: Regulating Adoption

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2082

Description[?]:

We think that the idea of keeping adoption in private hands needs a second look. While we don't really like the proposal for a test, we would like background checks and some documentation, to ensure that children are not being adopted by child molesters or other shady elements

MessageWe have evolved our position over time...we have tended to favor govt when it comes to the subject of personal freedom, and distrust the govt when it comes to matters of the pocketbook. This is entirely consistent with that shift.
