Imperial Conservative Union (IA)[?]

This page contains information about the Imperial Conservative Union (IA).

This party is inactive.

Details

User[?]: Emperor Master

Nation[?]: Holy Luthorian Empire (Luthori)

Seats[?] in Imperial Diet (lower house), Imperial Senate (upper house)[?]: 0

Color[?]:

Description[?]:

Formed in the Fall of 3594, the Imperial Conservative Union is a coalition of many of the oldest and most conservative forces of the Luthori aristocracy and society. Staunch supporters of the monarchy, they firmly believe in the traditional values of Luthori's past, and the superiority of her people. With the reestablishment of monarchist control and the return of many of the old families the Union was reformed in 3989 to restore the empire to its former glory and ensure the forces that led to its original fall never again gain rise to power.

Party Platform:
-Restore the Luthori to her former glory.
-Restore the political rights of the emperor and the nobility.
-Strong military and pro-active foreign policy
-Maintain welfare for the people, while encouraging economic growth

Director-Generals:
-His Grace, Maximilian Durant, 78th Grand Duke of Tinako (3989-4002)
-The Most Hon. Henry Weithard, 45th Margrave of Kensdale (4002-4027)
-HG Richard Durant, 80th Grand Duke of Tinako (4027-present)

Member Parties:
Aristocratic Alliance (AA): The smallest of the Union's three main parties, numbers wise at least, the AA is one of the most powerful, controlling nearly 58% of the seats in the "House of Nobles;" the "general assembly" of the Union's apparatus. Ideologically mixed, the party is staunchly nationalist and pro-monarchy. While all are for the restoration of the nobility, not all are for the restoration of all their former powers.

Merchant Guild League (MGL): The second largest party in the Union, the MGL is made up of many of Luthori's wealthiest "Captains of Industry." Separate from the CPL due to their wealth and differences on foreign policy, they have the smallest voice within the Union with only 12% of the House of Noble's seats under their control.

Conservative People's League (CPL): The largest of the Union's member parties, the CPL is comprised of many different and separate small conservative parties. The CPL seeks a full restoration of the empire of old. Controls 20% of the "House of Nobles" seats.

Smaller Parties:
Various small or independent parties that comprise the rest of the League. Combined, they control 10% of the seats in the "House of Nobles."
