Description[?]:
The Democratic Technocracy Directive was created in the ideals that the people should be listened to and their voice counted among the elite but all decisions would be made from the most skilled and/or intelligent of a given profession. "To the youth of America, I say, beware of being trivialized by the commercial culture that tempts you daily. I hear you saying often that you're not turned on by politics. The lessons of history are clear and portentous. If you do not turn onto politics, politics will turn on you." OOC: Ralph Nader Representing the interests of the "Institution" and the scientific wonders of the future. The DTD was formed in 4212 before being disbanded and reformed in 4281 as a populist party known as the Peoples Democratic Party until 4288 when the ideals of the people seemed too destructive for the country that only the most skilled of a profession seemed able to fix it; the party changed into the Democratic Technocracy Directive and hoped to change the future of Likatonia to a better, brighter land of tomorrow. Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
