IDEOLOGY

• Right-wing populism
• Libertarian Conservatism
• Environmentalism
• Draddwyr nationalism

OVERVIEW

"The Good" party was founded in January 3506 by Draddwyr tobacco entrepreneur Jeddite Maelic. The party describes itself as libertarian conservative and environmentalist, although it's welfare policies has some non-libertarian credentials, supporting strong public-private partnerships and universal subsidisation, but not public ownership, of health care and schools.

Being a spiritual successor of the Werin Da, it has also been labeled right-wing populist and (Draddwyr) nationalist. Like it's predecessor, it ultimately rejects any stringent following of any ideological label for the ideology of "Common Sense".

PARTY PROGRAMME OF FEBRUARY 3538

Common Sense

- Politicians aren't elected to decide how ordinary people should live their life. Politicians are elected to serve the people. When the elite fear the people, there is liberty.
- Bureaucrats whose job only consists of sitting on their backs telling ordinary people how they should live their lives should lose their jobs!
- The cultural and academical class surrounding these people, tirelessly making up otherworldly ideas like whenever races or sexes are social constructs, constitute a threat to ordinary people's freedom and should be smoked out from their positions of power.
- This is best archived through big cuts to the academical and cultural sectors.
- Our nation is built upon Hosian values and the traditional naturalistic and pastoral way if life of the Draddwyrs, not on radical utopian ideologies like socialism, liberalism or egalitarianism
- A state owned and run TV station, as well as a state owned and run radio station should serve as a counterweight to the ideas of the establishment
- Many teachers, journalists, cultural workers and social scientists would do society a big favour by voluntary moving out in the countryside and starting up a farm. One farmer is often worth thousandfold more of an assent than the entire cultural and academical establishment.
- A rather poor and ethnically heterogeneous country like Dranland is severely threatened by mass-immigration. People from other countries are not welcome to live on our welfare here.
- The Good says yes to imports, but not of unemployment, criminality or AIDS.
- Foreign aid is a waste of money that actually severely damages the economies of the recipients.
- Let's increase efficiency and lower costs by privatizing both the military and the police!

Consideration for others

- Criminals should be punished and victims should be groomed, not the other way around! The death penalty should be reintroduced for those criminals who deserve nothing but death.
- Through privatizations inside the publicly-funded systems, we archive freedom of choice and quality by competition for the customers of welfare services.
- Through this, we also tackle the influence of the left-wing elites, few businesses can compete by forcing their customers to live a politically correct life.
- Tax cuts are not only crucial for improving the economy as a whole and for the economy that our children will inherit, they also help people to be ethical. When you are allowed to keep more of the money you earned through hard work, you have more money to spend on others.
- The monstrous income tax should first be flattened, which is a question of fairness, and finally abolished, and replaced by a VAT. This will allow people to choose when to pay taxes and have fun while doing it.
- Abortion means taking the life of an individual and should be restricted to medical emergencies.
- Our environment are everybody's concern, since it is everybody's heritage and it is our children that will inherit the earth as we pass away. The use of fossil fuels, whenever in cars or elsewhere should be banned, we can accomplish this without restoring the use of nuclear power.
- The forests are an integral part of the Dranish nation's Draddwyr roots and should be fully owned by the state, but the management of forests may still be subcontracted to private companies.
- Animals are our compatriots too, but ones that cannot take care of themselves. Their rights to wellbeing and happiness must be thoroughly protected, and anyone torturing or killing animals for the sake of either profit or amusement deserves the strictest punishment possible.
- Drug dealers prey on the least among us, and their business should remain illegal. We are open for introducing a death penalty for drug trafficking in extreme cases.
- Cults are evil and should be outlawed. We have a responsibility to make a difference between good religion and bad religion!

Personal freedom

- Gladly world masters of everything, except high taxation!
- When the economy is tight, we push the gas pedal until it smokes! Less taxes means more freedom for you, and more rewards for diligence and hard labour.
- A glass of ale or wine does both the body, the mind and society at large good. No restrictions on the freedom to buy or drink booze!
- A smoke or piece of snuff calms you down when you are mad or sad. No restrictions on the freedom to buy or smoke cigarettes!
- Parents are better at their job than politicians or unelected bureaucrats! They decide when their young are ready to smoke and drink.
- The right to own a weapon is pivotal in a free society, and there is nothing wrong with using them to have fun with friends. Legalize militias!
- Our police and our courts do not exist for the sake of enforcing the tolls of foreign profiteers! End the last traces of copyright laws and ban the use of closed source code for software.
- Abolish the last libel and slander laws. Ordinary people are not stupid and can handle this in their own way, people who behave like asses will be treated like such.

PARTY TANISTS

Jeddite Maelic 3506-3509
Eric Stronghold 3532-

PARTY STRUCTURE
Unlike it's monarchic predecessors, The Good is structurally semi-democratic. The highest authority of the Party is the annual Cyngor Ymerodrol (Draddwyr: Imperial Moot), which meets during September to vote on motions bought forward by members and prepositions bought forward by the Righdamhna (Draddwyr: Imperial Fellowship). Any individual member may be present and speak during the Tribunal, but only delegates have the right to vote. IM Delegates are chosen by the regional county moots, who are in turn chosen by the local clubs. At the top of the pyramid stands the Righdamhna headed by the Tanist. In theory, the Righdamhna is elected by the Moot, but it is in practice chosen by a nominations committee called the Yr Henoed (Draddwyr: The Elders) appointed by various other instances. It is virtually impossible for the IM to defy the nominations laid forward, as it requires full consensus among delegates. The Tanist (Draddwyr: Prince) is appointed for life by the IM and can only be dethroned by a two-thirds majority in the Righdamhna, after which direct elections for the position of Tanist begin. Under such circumstances, the candidate who receives the most votes wins, there is no need of having the support of a majority of the delegates.

INTERNAL FACTIONS

Party factions were legalized by a motion in the in 3536 Imperial Moot. Membership of these is completely optional an holds no significance except as a tool for members striving towards a common goal. The current party factions are:

ConservDranland (CD) - Moderate Green Conservative faction, supported by white-collar workers and the wealthiest members of the party. Often hosts seminars dealing with advanced bio-scientific issues, and while standing firmly on Hosian values, not as radical or nationalistic as the party leadership. Strength: approximately 17%

Peace and Harmony (PH) - Green libertarian faction, more socially liberal than the rest of the party. Made up by mostly upper-middle class members. Strength: approximately 6%

Common Sense Alliance - New Democracy (CSA-ND) - Main populist faction consisting of the core of the Tanist's biggest supporters. Neoliberal and environmentalist, albeit with strong populist overtones. Made up by small businessmen, and lower-middle class members. Strength: approximately 21%

The Pirate's Fleet (PF) - Pirate politics, mostly made up by younger middle class members driven by an anti-copyright sentiment and a loathing for big multinational corporations. Supports introducing greater elements of direct democracy and decentralism. Strength: approximately 4%

Imperial Socialist Guild (ISG) - National Menshevist. How they ended up in a neoliberal party such as The Good is a mystery, but welfare chauvinism plays a pivotal role in their works. Mostly made up by blue collar workers, former BCB supporters. Strength: approximately 2%

Order of Our Heritage - Crimson Crusade Dranland (OOH-CCD) - Main National Conservative bloc, made up by supporters of Pandora Fahramar's ideas. Supported by traditionalist members from rural communities, red-collar workers and Draddwyr nationalists. Strength: approximately 19%

The Druids Coven (TGC) - National mysticist/ecofascist. The only explicit Draddwyrs-only group. Supported by Draddwyr ultra-nationalists of various backgrounds, mostly pagans, strongly anti-technologist and pro-animal rights. Strength: approximately 5%

Unaligned (-) - Strength: approximately 26%
