The People\'s Action Party was founded in 2609 by Aaron Peterson. The People\'s Action Party was founded as an alternative to the old guard parties which did not equally represent the people on all sides of the spectrum. As of 2635 the General Secretary Tony Clayford outlined his new direction for the People\'s Action Party. In an a party address he did away with the different sections of the party and united the party under one doctrine and one doctrine only, democratic socialism. In 2666, the People\'s Action Party decided to have the party re-invented under a name that can be unanimously recognized by all, the Socialist Party of Aldegar. ************************************************************ *We support a strong military, however we favor rarely having to use it. ie. talk softly but carry a big stick. *We support the strong institution of a welfare state of which leaves nobody behind. *We support the integrity and independence of Aldegar. *We believe in the policy of the government\'s right to interfere with the economy when there is a problem that cannot be solved by the free market forces. *We support a strong emphasis on law and order. *We strongly support the secularization of Aldegar. *We support the rights of people as long as it does not hurt anyone else. *We are pro-choice. *We are strongly anti-monarchists and pro-republican government. *The party as a democratic socialist one, supports the redistribution of wealth and radical social change so as to allow a more equal opportunity of chance amongst the people of Aldegar. ************************************************************ General Secretary of the PAP: Richard Godwin (2609-2622) William Landsbury (2622-2635) Tony Clayford (2635-2666) Alfred Krupp (2666- ) Deputy Secretary of the PAP: Jennifer Hansley (2609-2622) Tony Clayford (2622-2635) Dan Granger (2635-2666) Randall Iverson (2666- ) *In 2635 The Party Deputy Secretary gained enough support from the party to oust William Landsbury from the General Secretary position of the PAP and New Secretary Tony Clayford has announced a new direction for the party in the context of democratic socialism. The old system of ideological sects have been dealt away as the party platform will now be decided based on the vote of the General Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and other high end members of the party. |
