Description[?]:
The Utopian Anarchists Party was formed in 2509 when a group of disgruntled and disillusioned idealists broke off from the reformed Utopian Universalist Party (now calling themselves the Wessex High Imperial Party). We have remained underground, quietly building support, until the end of year 2554. The Utopian Anarchist Party may have a bold -- and to some a freightening -- name. However radical some of our positions may seem to be, we are dedicated to utter equality within society. We believe heirarchal class statuses are unfair to all but the wealthy and privaleged and seek to ascertain that a potato farmer is just as important in society as one of our members of parliament. The Utopian Anarchist Party also wishes to create balance within the government. We look to abolish the outmoded and easily corruptible imperial throne and to equalize the abilities of all members of cabinet so that no one administrator may hold sway over all the others. We have many aggressive policies for social reform that we will propose to the legislature including but not limited to: how to deal with criminals; education -- both higher and lower; transportation infrastructure and regulation thereof; religious involvement in matters of state and individual and group religious freedoms; etc. (more issues will be listed as they come to our attention). Economically, the Utopian Anarchist Party despises capitalistic regimes that condition the general populous to believe that commodities are necessities and necessities are second to commodities. We support a free trade economy in which individuals and/or groups of individuals may barter their possesions and/or services directly without a need for some form of currency. We are open to having a small business industry to provide variety to local economies. Overall, our party strives to obtain exactly what the name entails: a utopian society with social equality where the government protects and guides its people but does not directly interfere in their lives. |
