Description[?]:
The Progressive Libertarian Party is a party of the libertarian left that seeks to build a bridge between progressives and libertarians. PRINCIPLES - We believe in social justice for the poor, but that the best way to reach this is through non-governmental means rather than an extensive welfare state. - We believe in authentically free markets and reject any corporate privilege or welfare in the form of corporate personhood, subsidies, restrictive patent and copyright laws, barriers to entry such as restrictive occupational licensing laws, protectionism, and limited liability. - We believe in protecting the environment by making corporations pay the full cost of their pollution. - We support sound money and low inflation through the adoption of a gold standard. - We support the rights of labor unions before the rights of employers since labor unions are a great non-statist way of obtaining workers rights. - We oppose government intervention into people's personal lives when they are not harming anybody else. - We support a strictly non-interventionist foreign policy. - We support Land Value Taxation and the single tax for public improvements and favor abolishing all other taxes. |
