| The Partido Democrático del Capitalista (Democratic Capitalist Party) seeks to make Davostan into a nation that supports both broad personal liberties and a wide range of economic freedoms. The national government should be small and decentralized, with most of the power coming from local governments, and therefore, more directly responsive to the people. The economy should be deregulated, with few restrictions on production and trade; with restrictions coming only to enhance personal liberties (like a minimum wage) or to support human rights (like fair trade restrictions). We are concerned with the environment only in that we prefer not to actively harm it; we feel that there is no need to drastically change the nation to alter its ecology. We want to be members of an international community. We have much to gain through communication and trade overseas; isolationism will only leave us behind. The military should be strong and stand ready to defend our nation and its people. Davostan should not seek war, but should be ready and willing to enter conflict should our citizens' lives or liberties be at stake. |
