Description[?]:
Artanian Blue Left (ABL) Created: June 3845 (as Working Class Voice) Party Leader: Damian Smith (since February 3849) Deputy Leader: Ian Delaney (since February 3849) Presidential candidate: Eliza Schwarz (for July 3852) Ideology: - Democratic socialism - Left-wing populism - Pro-Artanianism - Social conservatism About: Formerly known as the Working Class Voice (WCV) under the leadership of John Turner (June 3845 to February 3849), the Artanian Blue Left (ABL) seeks to provide representation for working class voters who have been abandoned in favour of middle class voters, business and corporate interests, as well as by the parties battling for the centre ground. Economically, the Artanian Blue Left fights for and defends the rights of workers with the party holding policies such as the introduction of a living wage, regulated work hours, and less restrictions on trade unions. Socially, the Artanian Blue Left seeks to protect traditional values and is against liberalism and progressivism, both of which have normalised immoral acts and have caused the meltdown of society. The party also sees law and order and a strong military as key elements of a successful country. In addition, the party is a strong advocate of Kirlawa joining the Artanian Union (AU) and views this as one of the country's top priorities, this commitment is reflected in the party's name and is considered its flagship policy. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand |
