Description[?]:

2153

The Phalanx Party, resurrected with the creation of the new Pontesian state in 2153, espouses a nationalist platform, combining social conservatism with free market economics.

Member of the highly patriotic organisation, Guardians of the Cedars, the Phalanx Party is led by Bashir Gemayal. The party is largely run by four families, the Gemayals, Chamouns, Geagea's and the Aoun's.

The party is strongly christian in outlook and most of its supporters adhere to a variety of christian faiths.

2849

Several nationalist groups came together to form a unified nationalist block, capable of running in national legislative elections. They have decided to take the name of one of the original Pontesian parties. The party draws support largely from the Episcopalian community, and firmly endorses a national conservative philosophy, combing free market economics, with conservative social policies and a hawkish military and foreign policy stance.

Random quote: "The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved." - Confucius
