Description[?]:
The Kitchen Table Party, founded in May 2300 by McAllister Rand and other rugged individualists in the United Tribes of Tukarali, is committed to the belief that the most important decisions made in life shouldn't be made by government but by Tukaralian families at their own kitchen tables. The KTP stands for limited government in both the economic and social spheres and a strong foreign policy and works to ensure that every Tukaralian can achieve their own Tukaralian dream. KTP History 2300-2301 The KTP's first two pieces of legislation, restoring the balance between labor and management and protecting the right to privacy, went down to defeat in the Grand Tribal Council. The KTP improved its visibility on smaller government and free markets. (Foreign Policy +2, Economic Freedom =, Social Freedom =, 0.07% Vote, 0 Seats) 2301-2304 The Grand Tribal Council elected the first KTP minister, Janet DiFrancesco, to the Trade and Industry Ministry, as a part of a governing coalition with the UFFOT and RP. The KTP passed its first two pieces of legislation--(1) the Tukaralian Non-Discrimination Act, which ended the government's use of discriminatory preferences and (2) the Supporting Children of Needy Families Act, which limited government assistance to only those families that are truly in need. |
