Description[?]:
We strive to protect the people of Luthori and to advocate for personal freedom. We believe in using government where it is for the collective good of the people and leaving most other matters to local governments. ----------------------------------History---------------------------------- The People's Party was founded in 2583 by refugees. The party quickly rose to power, achieving a plurality by February 2588, that plurality was held without interruption until April 2623 - 35 years in power. This electoral success is an indication that we are truly the party of the people. For much of the early rule, the People's Party changed the culture of Luthori politics and brought about real changes. We made basic needs available to all with landmark legislation such as a living wage act. On April 2511, Luthorians elected Governor-General Dr. Jorge Sanchez Ramos Jr. following the return of democracy to Luthori. He was re-elected the in 2515. He was elected yet again in 2519. He did not seek re-election. His openly gay nephew Cesar H. Ramos won in 2523. He was re-elected both in 2527 and 2529. On April 2627, the People's Party regained a plurality having only been interrupted for two years. After nearly 700 years in exile the Ramos family have returned to Luthori. Dr. George Ramén Esq. is buoyed by the financial success of the Ramos family's ramen noodle business in Malivia. In that exile the Ramos family changed their name to escape persecution. |
