Nation[?]: Dovriges Republik (Davostag)
Seats[?] in Riksdag (National Diet)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
The National Party is a centre-right party formed in 2483. It came about due to the lack of a moderate right-wing party in Davostan. Its name is taken from a similar party that existed in the 2360’s. ==Platform== The Party advocates traditional conservative values, and is strongly supportive of the Catholic Church, holding the aim of establishing it as the official state Church. However the primary focus of the party is upon economic issues, aiming to reduce the size of government, reducing regulation in the economy, and promoting the free market. ==Support== The Party is sometimes referred to as the ‘Partido Criollo’, a reference to the fact that it draws much of its support from the ‘Criollo’ community. Leadership is concentrated in the ‘Criollo’ upper classes, primarily landowners, industrialists, and army officers. Most supporters belong to the middle classes, which back the party’s capitalist platform. However the party does not just appeal to the ‘Criollo’ section of society and enjoys backing from other ethnic groups, often because of the party’s firm support for the Catholic Church. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
