THE SOVEREIGN ALLIANCE VISION The Sovereign Alliance’s vision is of a prosperous; Open Opportunity Society for All; in which every member is free, secure, and equal before the law. Our vision rests on the belief that: The Grand Principality of Deltaria can and must overcome the historic divisions, and unite in our diversity around a shared identity. All members are of equal worth and have a right to full participation in the life of our common society. An independent and effective opposition and alternative government that is loyal to the constitutional order is essential to the promotion and preservation of democracy and freedom in our Nation. MISSION STATEMENT As a proud member of The Sovereign Alliance, loyal to the Constitution, I commit myself to serve with integrity the Nation by building a party that is home to all members, makes a visible difference to the lives of our members and promotes an Open Opportunity Society for All in which every member is free, secure, equal before the law and has the means to improve the quality of his or her life. We support and promote a Constitutional Monarchist System for The Grand Principality of Deltaria. Our Principles: The fundamental rights and freedoms of every person – including the right to freedom of conscience, speech, association, and movement; The rejection of unfair discrimination on any grounds; The supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law; The language, cultural and religious rights of individuals and the communities they create through free association; Equality before the law; The separation of legislative, executive and judicial power. A judiciary that is independent; Elections that are regular, free and fair; Representative and accountable government elected on the basis of universal adult suffrage; The clear division between the ruling party and the state; Respect for the right or a vibrant civil society and a free media to function independently; The rejection of violence and intimidation as a political instrument; The right of all people to private ownership and to participate freely in the market economy; The protection and conservation of the environment; and The right of all people to protection by the state from crime and violence; access to education and training. As a Party we will: Strengthen accountability; Advance the fight against corruption and maladministration; Attract the brightest minds in the nation to careers in Government; Establish mechanisms to ensure that best practice models are studied and replicated; Get different departments and spheres of government to work together; Streamline government and arrange departments to serve the needs of the nation, rather than creating new, unnecessary bureaucracies; Make sure that the laws are effectively implemented; Clarify the role of each governmental department, Create a Defence Force with a Clear Plan for the Future, Establishing an enabling regulatory environment for educational excellence; Reward good Governance; Create a Justice System that successfully prosecutes criminals; Enhancing co-operation between nations; and Contributing to conflict prevention and resolution internationally; |
