The Parti Républicain de Gauche (Left Republican Party) stands for :- REPUBLICANISM We hold that the People are sovereign and that therein lies legitimacy for the exercise of power. All hereditary privileges must be swept away and the monarchy abolished. SOCIALISM We fight for an economic system whereby those that toil will receive the full fruits of their labour and no person shall enrich themselves by the labour of others. SECULARISM We demand the disestablishment of the church and the separation of church and state, there is no place for religion in government RIGHTS & FREEDOMS We will defend and extend the rights and liberties of the people |
