Description[?]:
A conglomerate is a vertically integrated supply chain. Conglomeratism seeks to take this vertical integration as a cultural model where stakeholders in various affiliates cultivate craftsmanship for how things work and why they're important. That way, people produce for a purpose, not just for production's sake. For example, a logging company could cultivate craftsmanship with a baseball stadium. The foundation of this is a redefinition of the word "profit" - profit is the availability of free time to apply in pursuit of the arts. As long as stakeholders are artistic, there is no need to regulate them. It's when they become gluttonous that regulation becomes necessary. Furthermore, gluttony is a qualitative, not quantitative, yardstick. It is measured by how completely, not efficiently, resources are organized. For those convinced this is just another liberal, conservative, or socialist party, think again. Conglomeratism advocates analytic jurisprudence such that stakeholders in a conglomerate think before they act. This means a rejection of the following "ideals": Consumerism Fatalism Historicism Industrialism Pragmatism Professionalism Rugged Individualism Workaholism Instead, conglomeratism emphasizes holistic universalism where society is well-founded in reasonable people. This means preserving social fabric through customs, values, discourse ethics, rules of engagement, due process, and procedural justice. It does not mean simply making dogmatic appeals to popular emotion to make things happen. Rather it means doing things correctly through a conglomerate's profitable craftsmanship. It also means embracing political cycles. A stagnant government that believes in a particular platform will inevitably become subverted. This can happen from obedient servants rising to the top only to deliberately misinterpret policy, and it can happen from the political establishment conspiring to maintain a cartel on political capital behind the guise of balance of power. Regardless, official platforms must be cycled in order to prevent ambitious corruption. That way, policy remains philosophical instead of serving special interests. That philosophy preserves craftsmanship's abstract inspiration instead of letting it succumb to a particular material fetish. |
