Aims to build on proud past achievements of our nation by inspiring all citizens towards actions and behaviour which is both self-improving and beneficial to society as a whole. To facilitate this aim it is necessary to provide genuine opportunity for all and actively to encourage citizens to avail themselves of such opportunities. At the same time, no individual should indulge in self-interest to the extent that it weakens or threatens the solidarity of the community, whether local, regional, national or international. |
