Description[?]:
The People’s Leftist Party (Leftists, PLef or just PLP) is a social-democratic, centre-left to left-wing party in the Holy Luthorian Empire. It draws from a mix of conservative and progressive groups, mainly the LSP that was disbanded in 5012, LPP that was disbanded in 5015 and SDP disbanded in 5005. Combining a centrist variant of Luthorian populism (national-populism) with social democracy offers the PLP a distinct profile from the start and allows it to appeal to both progressives and the true conservatives that make up the White Rose, as well as looking electable to centrists and libertarians. Factions: - The Red Rose (conservative socialist populists) - 39% - The Greenbanners (progressive social-democratic activists) - 47% - The New Dawn (progressive democratic-socialist activists) - 13% - Other/Unaffiliated (no general ideology) - 1% The Red Rose is led by Henry Woodrow, the Greenbanners are led by Jodie Hamm and the New Dawn is led by Rosie Hyland. The PLP’s major decisions are made by the partly-elected Senior Council. It consists of 7 founding members and 5 elected, who are: Appointed: Henry Woodrow (Red Rose) Margaret Olivers (Red Rose) Jodie Hamm (Greenbanner) Rosie Hyland (New Dawn) Anabelle Harvey (Unaffiliated) Juliet Roscoe (New Dawn) Donald Atwood (Red Rose) Elected: Lori Jones (Greenbanner) Mary Paglesham (Red Rose) Henrietta Smith (Red Rose) Victoria Harman (New Dawn) Maria Aigner (New Dawn) |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
