An "umbrella" party, the Nationals are a centre to centre right party with a strong nationalist streak. Rose to power in 2818 after toppling the monarchy in a bloodless coup.

Sidious Jafar (2818-2829)
James Salach (2829-2834)

Presidents:

Sidious Jafar - (2819-2829) Following the overthrow of the monarchy, Jafar came to power and began the democraticization of Talmoria. Jafar quickly became the figurehead of democratizization in Talmoria, earning a reputation as an honest and dedicated public servant. He has presided over the beginning of a new, free and democratic era in Talmorian history and as the founder of the National Party, he has also become their greatest symbol. After winning re-election in 2824, he announced his intention to step down at the end of his second term. He retired in 2829

John Palantine - (2829-)

Prime Ministers:

John Palantine - (2820-2824) Coming to power in 2820, after the National Party's victory in the legislative elections, Palantine became Prime Minister of Talmoria as head of the National Party's 1st executive. Palantine presided over the economic and social reform of Talmora, including the freeing up of private enterprise, the end of theocracy and the restoration of civil liberties for ordinary Talmorians. Palantine was re-elected in 2824 without opposition. In 2825 he retired as Head of Government to concentrate on his bid for the Presidential post in 2829.

Dirk Harrison - (2824-2929) Palantine's successor as Prime Mnister, Harrison presided over a period of quiet. His biggest achievement was the creation of a civilian police force and the re-affirment of the National Parties' committment to democracy and civil liberties.
