OUR STORY:

Civil Rights Association Movement (CRAM): Created in 3580, it was a movement that pro-actively fought for the recognition and increase of civil rights and liberties. It organised several marches nationwide, but was clearly more active in Lago Kwantu and Dhataan.

CRAM dismantlement: After pressure from ultraconservative sectors of society and government persistent denial of proposed bills (not to mention persecution), CRAM leaderships decided to end the movement.

"Let's go Particracy!": In summer 3594, Marcos Serra united with ex-CRAM members and held the First Progressive National Conference. There they got the 1 million necessary signatures and, by 3595, registered the Tukarêse Social Democracy Party (ou Partido da Social Democracia Tukarêse).

OUR PLEDGES:

1) Enhanced Civil Liberties: We constantly fight for the enhancement of civil liberties, including but not limited to LGBT, women and racial minorities rights.

2) Improved Foreign Relations: We're aware that having good foreign relations is essential to the growth of our country, both economically and culturally. Consequently, maintaining close ties with bordering nations and encouraging trade are our top priorities.

3) Secularisation of the State: For too long religion paid a decisive role in our politics. Whilst still important individually, we believe that such religious interference on matters of State provide huge backlashes in our nation.

4) Free-Market trough regulation: We all know how greedy corporations and businessmen can be. That greed interferes with the living standards of all tukaresians, so it is in our best interest to provide basic services and financial security to them. So to, we are enforces of market regulations that will, however, lead to free-market one day.

5) Socialism through capitalism: A strong economy is required to reach social development. Therefore, we will seek to strengthen our economy before making major investments in public Welfare. We support minor and gradual investments that will improve the quality of life and lifespan of our citizens.

WHERE WE STAND ON:

1) Education: Education is for all and should be bias-free. It also should be state-provided, since it is the pillar of our democracy and economy.

2) Health: To be looked after and taken care for are everyone's basic rights. Hence, the government should provide basic healthcare access on a national level. It is, but, necessary that private clinics exist.

3) Social Security: Whilst very important, we believe this should not be a top government priority. We believe in moderate spending in this area, mainly to unemployment benefit, retirement pensions and refugee-immigrant aid.

4) Freedom of Speech and Information: We believe that the most important rights to men are the freedom to speak and to get informed. It must be secured by all means possible and enhanced whenever possible.

5) Gender, Race and Sexual Orientation Equality: Despite our differences we must all be treated equality. Therefore, the PSDT fights against all kind of discrimination and will always ensure the protection of minorities.

7) Taxation: We believe that essential goods should never be taxed and that taxes on individuals should be reduced. Businesses should be moderately taxed but also subsided by the government.

8) Ultra-conservationism: We oppose all sorts of retroactive views and will always try to push a progressive agenda.

9) Environment: The nature should be preserved. Not only forests, rivers and biodiversity but also our mineral wealth. We'll push an eco-friendly agenda that, in the long run, will increase life quality and lifespan.

COALITION FOR THE FUTURE:

CF (or CFF) is a political bloc currently integrated by PDST (P. Social Democracia Tukarêse), UPT (União dos Partidos Trabalhistas) and PDG (Partido de Gronaldistas).

As of 3598, it held a total of 47 seats in the national legislature (the equivalent to 37.6%).

During the presidential elections of July 3598, the bloc achieved almost 38% of the votes, being the most voted with over 23 million votes. However, during the run-off elections it failed to achieve majority.

The coalition goals are to promote equality and civil liberties, strengthen the economy and work towards a more progressive nation.

It is stipulated that the party with more seats in the legislative (hence known as the Coalition Majority) will choose the candidate for the next presidential elections. If there is no majority, then the decision will be up for debate by the coalition members.

As of January 3599, the PDG joined the Coalition.

Due to communication problems, results in the 3602 elections did not come off as expected. UDT achieved to reach first place during the first round and managed to get a close tie in the second, then losing to the DWP-PCD coalition.

Current Coalition President - Deputado Aurélio Soares (UPT) (3602-)
