Description[?]:
The Freedom Party was founded in 3762 by Peter Bethencourt, a economist born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Solentia. Peter Bethencourt, always praised liberty, and also always defended the right for private property, individual rights, small government and free market. With the will to pass his vision to Solentia, Peter Bethencourt along with his friend and also an economist, John Friedman, founded the Freedom Party. Already in the mandate of the CNP with president Samrin Chann (3762-3766), the FP had two ministers appointed due to the coalition CNP/FP, one for finance: John Friedman, and the other for justice: George Rand. In the elections of 3766 the Freedom Party gained the majority of seats in the parliament with 59 seats and in 3768 and had appointed by the president Frank Williams- UDP (3766-3769) the Head of Government: Peter Bethencourt (3768-3780), and also had appointed to run the ministries of Defence: David McDonald, Infrastructure and Transport: Luke Meyer, Education and Culture: Henry Thatcher, Enviroment and Tourism: Julia Sanchez. In the elections of 3769, (elected president Mao Xin Fuwan (CNP)), the Freedom Party won again the majority of seats in the parliament with 61 seats, and also had their first governor nominated Jerry Reagan running the state of Nukeya. What we stand for: The Freedom Party believes that the government should not intervene in the market, that people should have their individual rights and should have right to private property. Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
