Logo: http://i.imgur.com/QohQOlW.png ----Overview---- As the Proud direct descendant of the Saridani Liberal Front, the Lindenist Union is a political movement dedicated to the defense of civil and economic rights in Saridan. Our Ideology is based on the teachings of Klaus van der Linden, a simple doctor from Pietersburg who founded the Saridani Liberal Front in hopes of liberalizing his for long conservative nation. --History-- The Party's predecessor, SLF was founded in October 3842 under the Farmers' Party's rule. It participated in elections for the first time in 3852 receiving a very large number of votes(29.48%). Klaus Van Der Linden was the party's executive chairman until 3861 when he died in a tragic car accident. He was replced by an incompetent radical atheist, Bernard Müller who had to resign just 2 months after becoming the chairman. A council of members ruled the party until 3865 when Lotte Van Althuis, the SLF-aligned capitalist Kanselier of Saridan was elected as the new leader of the party after leading SLF to victory in the recent election. After ruling the country for aout 10 years with small breaks SLF was dissolved(accurate date is unknown). A few years after SLF became inexistent communists gained control of the nation and openly opressed all former SLF voters. SLF was formed once more under the name "Lindenist Union" by the party's last chairman's son, Kerneels Van Althuis, the third richest person in Saridan. Leadership: Klaus Van Der Linden(3848-3861) Bernard Müller(3861-3861) Council of Members(3861-3865) Lotte Van Althuis(3865-3875) Kerneels Van Althuis(3902-3920) Lennaert te Kolstee(3957-3963) Michael Van Nieu-Artanië(3968-3975) Adelheid Keppel(3975-3982) ----Position---- Ideology: Lindenism Political Position: Centre/Centre-Right ----Tests---- Some tests to help you understand the beliefs of my party: Political Compass: Economic Left/Right: 1.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.18 Political Typology Quiz: Business Conservative The Political Matrix: Economic score: +1.74 Social score: -7.74 "Your score pegs you as economically center-capitalist and socially far-leftist. Center-capitalists often support free trade and low taxes, but take pragmatic stances on economic issues, supporting what they see as the best balance between encouraging business and maintaining free trade. Social far-leftists generally believe that the government has no business enforcing morality on most matters, instead favoring a government that intervenes only when absolutely necessary to avoid direct harm. Many social far-leftists also look negatively on the government's past attitudes toward groups they view as persecuted, although some simply oppose government intervention on utilitarianist grounds." Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
Random quote: As for rape, of course, that is a direct consequence of the capitalist system of oppression. Capitalism relies on fuelling division and resentment to sustain itself, and so it sets men against women, race against race and so on. Men rape women because they are being oppressed by capitalism, so they take it out on women. Under Communism, there will be no rape, because there will be a full and natural harmony and equality between the genders. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
