Description[?]:
The Republic Alliance Party is a right wing, conservative political party founded in 4044, originally as the Youth Alliance Party, by young bussiness man, Marco Baptiste. In their first election, in 4047, the Youth Alliance received a total of 16,537,039 votes, and won 133 seats in parliament, making them the fastest growing party among voters in Aldurie. The following election, in 4051, The Youth Alliance saw a major increase in voters with 21,668,303 votes, this was a +9.66% increase from the previous election, and saw a huge increase of votes in the Val-Zanya Region. The party also received an additional 48 seats in parliament, taking the total to 181 seats. The Youth Alliance gained the nations presidency in 4053, and were re-elected again in 4057, however the presidency was unlawfully taken away, from then leader Marco Baptiste. After much public outrage, an election was called, The Youth Alliance won the election in a landslide, however the political parties of Aldurie organised for and voted for the dismissal of President Baptiste, Lionel Blanc of the Liberal Party was designated by his coalition peers, as Baptistes successor, this was a move that undermined democracy in Aldurie, and today is regarded as the most controversial decision by Aldurien politicians in the nations history. President Baptiste served as President from 4053-4057, he was regarded as an anti globalist, and lead the nation to exit The Seleyan Union in 4056. He also strengthened the nations military, which was previously described as ineffective, and in a state of disrepair. Baptiste also doubled the Nations surplus when he was dismissed from office in 4057. Baptiste later resigned as leader of The Youth Alliance, after being controversially dismissed from the presidency, this was to this disappointment of the Youth Alliance Party memebers, and to the Aldurien people. He served as a Party leader from 4044-4057. The party then had to elect itself a new leader, after much deliberation the Youth Alliance elected its final two candidates, Foreign Affairs Minister Michelle Aloquoqè, and Prime Minister Jean-Paul Gerád, the final selection was tight, however the party elected Prime Minister JP Gerád, who edged his counterpart by 5 senate votes. The Party's new leader rebranded the Party in October 4057, as The Republic Alliance Party. Gerád later was elected President, after an early election was called, in June 4058. Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
Random quote: "We are told that this is an odious and unpopular tax. I never knew a tax that was not odious and unpopular with the people who paid it." - John Sherman |
