The Moderates Official: The Moderates—Kazulmark’s Liberal Party; De Moderaterna—Kazulmarks Liberale Parti Political Position: Centre to Centre-right Ideology: conservative liberalism, social liberalism, green liberalism, economic liberalism The Moderates is a party of the centre and centre-right committed to the principles of conservative liberalism and social liberalism. The party is a bourgeois (nonsocialist) party that heavily incorporates elements of classical liberalism. On economic policy, the Moderates places strong emphasis on a free market economy and liberalized labor market, favoring policies that encourage and reward entrepreneurship and innovation. The party maintains strong links to the business sector and middle class. The Moderates additionally supports maintaining a comprehensive welfare system based firmly on market solutions when possible. The party generally favors lowering taxes when possible. Socially, the party has embraced moderately liberal stances, with an emphasis on individual rights and personal responsibility. The party is a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and same-sex marriage. The Moderates ardently support state secularity, but wish to create conditions in which people of all religions can thrive and develop their faiths in Kazulmark. The party furthermore supports liberal immigration and refugee policies, and maintains a staunch internationalist outlook. Defense is a key issue for the party as well, with multilateral defense alliances being favored. Environmentally, the party supports policies that reduce fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions. To this end, the party is a strong supporter of nuclear power.
