Description[?]:
The Christian Democratic Alternative is a Christian Democratic party comparable to many of the Christian Democratic parties of the real world. What are we an alternative for? We are an alternative for Hutorians who are tired with the domination of the Right is Right party. The Right is Right party, despite its good intentions, is slowly taking our beautiful Kingdom on the road to one-party dictatorship. Furthermore, the Christian Democratic Alternative seeks to support the trade unions, which have been shamefully abandoned by the current government, even though they are an essential part of civil society. We also oppose the current tendency to control everything from the capital. The people live in the regions and that is where we must make the nation's decisions, as close to the people as possible. We also want to prevent urban sprawl from corrupting the countryside. As our name implies the Christian Democratic Alternative is a religiously inspired party. We fully support the democratic nature of Hutori, but we believe that people should be able to pursue a political career based on their religious convictions. We also believe that freedom of religion is of the utmost importance. We are supportive of measures to safeguard the environment, but we don't want to jeopardize economic growth. As far as Foreign Policy is concerned, we are willing to defend Hutori's interest, but are doing so while trying to maintain peace. The government must help people in grave need, but people must not be cuddled to death in sloppy and asphyxiating social security systems. We are, however, opposed to cold free market mentality of greedy upper-class bobo's, who have no regard for the struggle of the ordinary Hutorian. To safeguard the safety of Hutori strong defensive forces must be maintained. A good society is founded on sound morals. Therefore we are tough on crime and against any form of drug legalisation. We must, however, consider that we no longer live in the Middle Ages and therefore we consider the death penalty inappropriate. -The Founding Manifesto of the Christian Democratic Alternative, July 2362. |

Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
