Centralization: Fanatical federalist, to the extent that the Liberty Party is opposed to federalism as giving too much power to the national government. Believes in the right to nullification. Civil Rights: Extreme Permissive. Strongly opposed to all forms of government prejudice, including positive and negative discrimination. Ecology: Convinced Skeptic. Though realizing humans have a negative effect on the Earth in some cases, also believes global warming is natural. Foreign Relations: Convinced Isolationist. Complete non-interventionist foreign policy, but in support of free trade for goods which cannot be produced domestically. Government Responsibilities: Fanatical Small Government. Opposed to government in general, "the government which governs best, governs least," and believes the government exists only to protect the rights of its citizens. Market: Convinced Laissez-Faire. Against almost all forms of government regulation and any nationalization, however in support of Anti-trust measures. Military: Pacifist-Leaning. Though non-interventionist, generally anti-war, and against standing armies, in cases of self-defense the Liberty Party supports "massive retalitation" against invaders. Also supports development of large WMD stockpiles for defense by way of MAD. Morality: Extreme Progressive. Due to its steadfast opposition to all government intervention in personal lives, the Liberty Party opposes morality legislation. Religion: Fanatical Secular. Against any form of religious inclusion in government, and against regulation of religion. Supports a constitutional amendment to provide for such a policy. |
