Description[?]:
The Human Extinction Project was founded in October 2587 by Professor Horace Werckle. We acknowledge that the propensity of mankind to exploit and degrade the life support structures of the planet means the mass extinction of other species is becoming a real possibility. Eventually mankind will render the planet incapable of supporting any kind of life at all. Man is the most ecologically-destructive species that has ever lived, and yet has been around for only a relatively short chapter in the overall history of Terra. Like all species, mankind will eventually become extinct, but we propose our species could and should be intelligent and responsible enough to voluntarily accept early extinction, on the basis that the welfare and continuance of life on Terra as a whole is more important than the survival of our uniquely parasitical species. The HEP is supported by a wide range of scientists, academics and environmental activists. We are not lunatics, nor are we a sinister suicide cult or a cadre of budding fascist authoritarians. Whilst our stated aim is the extinction of the human race in the most humane and eco-friendly way possible, we recognise that achieving our goal will be a long haul and will require a fundamental shift in the consciousness of leaders and ordinary people everywhere. Our message is for all of our citizens, not just our members, and for all of Terra, not just Tukarali. Our intermediate objective is to stem and reverse the growth in human population numbers whilst radically reducing the burden our species places on the life-support structures of the planet. We plan to achieve this through de-industrialising our economy and moving towards self-sustainable communities; putting the planet first in all matters of policy; raising environmental consciousness at home and abroad; ensuring easy access to contraception, abortion and euthanasia; and imposing effective limitations on reproduction. |

Voting Record
This is the voting[?] record of the Human Extinction Project.
Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "We must show that liberty is not merely one particular value but that it is the source and condition of most moral values. What a free society offers to the individual is much more than what he would be able to do if only he were free. We can therefore not fully appreciate the value of freedom until we know how a society of free men as a whole differs from one in which unfreedom prevails." - Friedrich August Hayek |
