| The nation of Tukarali has been one of the most peaceful states in all of Terra. In its long history, Tukarali has never been involved in any wars. The nation has even avoided major internal conflict and has never had a civil war. This history of peace and neutrality must be maintained for the sake of Tukarese prosperity and stability. Under this Declaration of Tukarese Neutrality, the nation of Tukarali asserts its neutrality (as outlined in below terms) and the signatories of this declaration officially recognize Tukarali as a neutral nation. Terms of the Declaration of Tukarese Neutrality: - Tukarali shall maintain neutrality in all wars and conflicts. Only if attacked will Tukarali declare a state of war with another nation. - Tukarali is open to diplomacy and friendly dialogue with all nations. The nation is supportive of economic, cultural, and educational treaties with other Terran states. - Tukarali, under extreme circumstances, may engage in embargoes and/or sanctions against another nation. Extreme circumstances could include such situations as Tukarese expatriates or citizens abroad being attacked or unfairly targeted by foreign regimes. Other situations could include the discovery of a foreign regime supporting radicalism or terrorism within Tukarese borders. - Tukarali shall reserve the right to maintain a military for the sake of national defense. The nation additionally reserves the right to develop nuclear weapons as a further enhancement to national security. |
