Majatran Sea Defence Force

The Majatran Sea is a valuable asset to all Majatran nations, it provides resources and allows trade to flourish in the region. The Majatran Sea and unrestricted access to it is vital to trade and the economy of dependent nations. Because of this, Selucia wishes to create a defence force which will ensure the security of the Majatran Sea and provide aid where necessary. The defence force will be led by Selucia. Selucia, as its own archipelago, specializes in and has experience of maintaining such an archipelago. This experience can and will be implemented in the greater Majatran archipelago. Under the leadership of Selucia, this defence force will guard the gateway to the Majatran Sea. It will have routine patrols through the Majatran archipelago and deep into the Majatran Sea. The defence force will be authorized to board vessels and inspect them to make sure they abide by international standards and are not engaging in any illegal activity. The defence force will act as an international lifeguard and aid any vessels in distress within the Majatran Sea. If a threat arises, the task force will immediately take action to close off the gateway and access to the Majatran Sea. As soon as a threat presents itself, all Majatran nations will be notified and advised to be on high alert. Joint naval fleets will be tactically positioned throughout the Majatran archipelago and ready to scramble to address such a threat. Signatory nations will have to contribute to these naval fleets and partake in regular exercises to keep all fleets up to speed and ensure they are able to react quickly and decisively. To allow for better coverage of the region, the defence force will also have of an aerial division. The aerial division will patrol the Majatran Sea from the air and be able to provide rapid assistance to vessels in need. Signatory nations are expected to contribute to this aerial division. The defence force will have its main headquarters in Argona, Selucia. Argona’s position on the Southern coast of Occidentria gives it clear access to the Majatran Sea and its centralized location relative to the Majatran Sea makes it an prime location to direct the defence force. Along with the main headquarters, the defence force will have smaller bases in all signatory nations to allow for better coverage of the Majatran Sea. To be able to fully secure the gateway to the Majatran Sea, all nations who make up the gateway would have to dedicate themselves to the cause. We urge the Republic of Cildania, the People’s Republic of Badara, the Republic of Pontesi, and the Majalite Kingdom of Kafuristan to join the defence force by ratifying this treaty. Of course, the defence force is very relevant to all other Majatran nations with coastlines on the Majatran Sea. Therefore, we also urge the Great Kapolian Republic, the Deltarian Empire, the People’s Republic of Jelbania, Vanuku and the Federal Republic of Barmenistan to commit themselves to the defence force to ensure a safer Majatran Sea and with it a safer Majatra. |
