Badara Channel Treaty

| Article 1: EEZ A) The channel separating the two islands of Badara is to be known as Badara Channel B) Badara Channel is to be recognised Exclusive Economic Zones of Jumhuriat al-Badara i) Badara has control over the extraction of minerals ii) Any scientific mission conducted in these waters must be first approved by Badara government Article 2: Military Rights A) Jumhuriat al-Badara hold exclusive right to deploy military vessels B) In case of war Badara's allies may use the channel for military purposes Article 3: Commercial Vessels A) Any country not at war with Jumhuriat al-Badara or its allies will be given innocent passage B) Commercial vessels may carry armed guards to protect cargo and such a vessels shall not be considered a warship C) Badara's Navy may not attack or hinder such ships except in exceptional circumstances such as immediate threat to national security Article 4: Violations A) Jumhuriat al-Badara holds the right to seize or sink any violating warship with crew being held as prisoner of war until negotiations are held. B) If a Badaran Naval vessels violates the treaty by attacking a commercial ship, than the crew of the ship will be punished by Badaran law All ratifying nations must adhere to the above treaty. |
