Message	All church means is temple. The religion may say something but the church means nothing. Putting this in a RL situation in Sociology we refer to the church as a place of worship, however this covers all religions.

Message	PAL, there are many Christian churches that support same-sex marriage. They include Unitarians, the United Church (largest Protestant demonition in Canada, primarily Methodist), the United Church of Christ in the US, the Old Catholics, a number of Anglican dioceses, and otehr i may have forgotten. I am not going to get into a debate on the merits of this, although there are certainly Biblical scholars who have witten lengthy books on the topic -- the sin of Sodom, most of these scholars agree, was not same-sex relations but lack of hospitality. But, the Catholic Workers position will be that those churches wanting to perform same-sex marriages should be permitted to do so, and the state should not interfere with those churches right to marry whoever they choose.

Message	Why was it mentioned in the bible then in regards to Sodom? Was it just a statement that they were homosexuals which had nothing to do with their sin? Of course the two were related - they were "wicked" because of their homosexuality as well as other things. "United Church" - that's Canada for you... The PAL does not recognise Catholicism as a "Christian" denomination - that is not to say that there are no Christians in it but rather it does not follow the teachings of the Bible (worshipping Mary etc).
