Message | We favor some sort of welfare, also known as minimum income. We are not certain that placing a time limit on it is desirable, but would vote for this bill as preferential to the current lack of any welfare system. |

Message | We believe that this is a step in the right direction. |

Message | So I guess people with disabilities will be left to starve once they exceed the limit...? |
Date | 13:13:29, August 17, 2005 CET | From | Neoretropostmodernist Party | To | Debating the Welfare Act of 2096 |
Message | This current proposal is too general. If it said this was for the disabled I would agree with the NDP, however, the current proposals implies that this is for everyone. Therefore, I support time limits. |

Message | Since the proposal options are vague, I've amended the description itself. For our own purposes, then, we can debate the merits of the time limits without worrying about disabled benefits. |

Message | Unless there are objections, I will move this to a vote in one month. |

Message | We will support this bill, given the failure of the other one. The alternative is no welfare safety net at all, which we would not consider acceptable. |
