Description[?]:
The 25th century, for Barmenistan, has been one of the most radical centuries for Barmenistan. At the turn of the century, Barmenistan was still Brmék’oék Nrzipntakmojad, Barmenian was not a dead language, and Barmenistan was a largely homogeneous, conservative, isolationist, religious, and mediocre society. But that has all changed in less than one century. The reasons are still undecided by historians, but massive social change began at the turn of the century. Many speculate various causes, such as Barmenistan's history of violence, conservatism, and tyranny making the people weary, massive immigration due to more liberal immigration policies, a boom in international trade, increased pressure from the global community, a gradually improving and modernizing economy and military, and worldwide change on Terra all as sources for the unexpected radicalism of the era. Nevertheless, so much has happened: the federal government has been greatly restricted and many social programs cut, the educational system has leaped from one of the world's worst to the world's best, DWCs have become a requirement for all corporations, religion has totally died, the language of Barmenian has totally died out in favor of English, and interestingly, the ethnicity of Barmenian has dropped from being the homogeneous majority of Barmenistan to one of the smallest and non-existent minorities, and Barmenistan has become a consociational state (a nation in which there are no ethnic, linguistic, political, etc. majorities; all are minorities). Statistically speaking, virtually all of the politicians in office today, especially within the Barmenistan Council of Intellectualism, are immigrants or directly descended from immigrants by one or two generations at the most. Public opinions have shifted radically towards libertarianism, and the society has wholeheartedly embraced absolute intellectualism. The entire system has changed: the social welfare system has privatized and begun to disappear, the educational system has privatized and leaped to one of the world's best, the primary language is dead, the ethnicity is consociational, the military has become the largest and most advanced in the world, freedoms have been greatly expanded, and much more. It is as if a silent storm has crept into the nation and left nothing of the old Barmenistan but old buildings, monuments, and historical documents. It is because of this that we must update our flag, our motto, our anthem, and even our name. There is nothing left of what these things once were, and now they represent nothing and are of nihilistic value to the people of our country. |

Message | The GVP is dedicated to the Germanic movement in Barmenistan. We fully support changing the name and flag of this nation. While we also support a change to the anthem, we do not support the proposed version at this time, but thank the BCI for their creativity and national assessment. |
