Bill: CUF Manifesto (Administrative)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Revolucia Partio de Koburo

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2542

Description[?]:

1. Cobura needs a national anthem that expresses unity above all, and one which eliminates the last dregs of our Tokundi dominated past. The CUF anthem performs the job admirably.

2. There is no need for two weak positions, especially when the elected position has no real power. Cobura needs a strong, elected leader.

3. A new flag to encompass our strength and history.

4. In recognition of Cobura's glorious history, we propose to bring back the position of Pro-Consul, which will hold the executive power in Cobura.

5. A new name for our assembly, in an effort to express national unity.

6. Mayoral positions are inherently corrupt and bourgeois; the municipal (workers) councils will do a better job of governing our cities.

7. Cobura needs a strong animal to represent itself.

Message"It's been proven not to work, time and time again in Coburan when he have had that sitution, it has lead to a consitutional crisis. It will lead to one again. Our parliamentary system works fine and has kept Cobura strong and democratic, the Chancellor is elected by the parliament, which is elected by the people. It works fine in many other countires, and does so here too."

Simon Brimmer, DLP Consitutional and Devoltuion spokesman.

Messagemaybe the tiger should be in the lower left corner as the raven is in our old flag (and change the black "line" to go from upper ledt corner to lower right corner.) and the tigers head looks odd....but otherwise would vote for it totally :)
