Message | We don't see this as much of a change from the current bill - we have faith in the private agencies set up for the benefit of these children to keep them in the safest hands possible. The government should probably not tinker with an institution that already works perfectly fine. |

Message | We also have faith in private organizations, but want to fight child abuse because it's fundamental attack to their freedom. |

Message | We favour a state run adoption system with signiifcant checks and safegiards - not a private system or a barely regulated system that the RRDF propose. |
Date | 23:05:35, July 06, 2008 CET | From | Rutanian Democratic Forum | To | Debating the Adoption Regulatin Act |
Message | From RRDF standpoint, we supported public state run adoption system, but now we're just convinced that private organizations could do good job, provided that there is some control over their actions. |

Message | The LCP agrees with the viewpoint of the RRDF concerning private adoption agencies, we've had faith in their operation for many years and there is no point changing it - however we do support limited overview of their actions. |
Date | 14:57:17, July 07, 2008 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Adoption Regulatin Act |
Message | But in what way are private adoption agencies accountable to the people? And if it is a private agency which is involved for profit, not the child's well-being, how can we be sure that the condition of the child is acceptable, and that the child is placed with suitable parents - especially if we only have a limited overview of these agencies actions. We have to think of the children, and not allow private companies to decide their future. Rather a public system which is publicly accountable is necessary, whilst such a system will not provide a profit motive for possible neglect of children who need to be cared for, and mean that children are not seen as a means to a quick buck. |

Message | Peter Jenz, Party Leader in National Congress: "Labour Party raises interesting and very important question for our society. Domination of profit instead of public interests and public benefit ? We choose public benefit and welfare for all. Children are especially sensitive to those issues and to negative action in this area. However, there are number of non- profit institutions that deal with chidlren. We support civil society actions in this area, rather leting government be involved in all actions, but, as LCP, we support and demand some control over their actions. For now, we would support current system." |
