Bill: Moral Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2621

Description[?]:

Abortion is murder, and cannot be tolerated, an unborn baby, from conception until birth, also has the right to life, liberty, and the security of the person. And allowing abortion is stripping the child of all of those rights, and then executing that child. Absolutely disgusting. The only time we would allow for an abortion to be performed is if it were to save the mothers life.

MessageWe are unsure of this issue.
On the one hand, we could support this legislation because it would ensure the prevention of the reprehensible act of abortion.
On the other hand, this legislation would strip local governments of their political authority over an important and culturally-contingent issue.
Whilst we are devided on this issue, a majority of the Reform Party have decided to tentatively vote in favour of this legislation, as we feel that abortion is one area which may require federal legislation, just as laws against issues as serious as murder are generally determined at a federal level.

MessageThis proposal takes things a bit further than we would like, but it's much better than the current muddled policy.
