Voting deadline: January 2642
Description[?]:
"With this bill, my party proposes complete ban of abortion, except in medical emergencies. Mr Speaker, there is a lot of people, and a lot of Congressmen and Congresswomen, who think that abortion should be allowed. They argument it with the "right to choose", with absolute souverainity of mother over her all body. We do not deny that. But we deny that the mother has the right to choose instead of her unborn baby. It's not souverainity, it's suzeranity, I would say. Even if the fetus is not a full human being, according to some people, "it" has a possibility to develop into full human being, and the mother simply does not have the right to deny it. Mr Speaker, Ladies and gentlemen, according to consistent life ethics, life must be protected and not destroyed. Human life is the most important think, and the state, nor the law, nor the society, no one has the right to deny the right to live, or the possibility of right to live. Mr Speaker, our state is enough civilized, enough rich and enough developed that it would leave anyone behind. If the mother does not want the child, she should receive counselling. She should receive all the help from the society and the state. And when the baby is born, he or she can be given to adoption organization, to enable him or her a life in loving and caring family. Biological mother should receive financial, moral and any other help, during the pregnancy and after birth, even after she gives away her child if the child is unwanted - but it's not unwanted for sdome other parents. Our state is enough rich, and our society is enough responsible to not accept leaving someone behind: mother and child should be taken care of , and our society can afford it! Therefore, there is no need for abortions - with that, we just deny some basic rights to our unborn children. And who knows, maybe the baby that we just killed can be tomorow's president, tomorrow's scientist which will invent something new for all mankind. What is our right to destroy our future then? I call all members of Congress to support this life protection act." Bernard Cayes, MNC RDF spokesman for health and social issues |
