Bill: A Flag Worthy of Aldegar

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Populist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2749

Description[?]:

The current flag of Aldegar must be changed. Our national animal is not a lion, or anything even similar to the lion. With the bill naming the Aldegarian Eagle as our national animal about to pass the vote, the National Populist Party suggests that we vote to change our flag from the plain, virtually meaningless cloth that it is now, to something eye-catching and powerful.

The 5 stars each represent our satrapies, the eagle represents our national pride, and the ribbon it carries says "Our Liberties We Prize And Our Rights We Will Maintain", showing our devotion to democracy.

(OOC: I took the time to create the flag, so at least give it a bit of thought. It's not much, but it's eye-catching and much better than our current flag.)

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).

Random quote: "The state is nothing but an instrument of oppression of one class by another, no less so in a democratic republic than in a monarchy." - John Smith
