Bill: Protect Our Children (2889)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortunato's Fascist Formation

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2890

Description[?]:

You must all understand that children are not only at risk from sexual predators. What about those convicted of violent crime and domestic abuse. Those mentally ill and incapable of looking after themselves. I understand that these cases are often extremely rare but under current legislation. They are more than capable of taking place.

MessageMr. Speaker, while we would like to note that all of these cases are currently covered under the umbrella of "child abuse" law, we would not be opposed to more stringent screening processes. Can you inform us in more detail what this screening process would entail?

MessageCanidates wishing to adopt would be subject to customary police backround checks. The couple's income and home arrangements aswell as their health would be taken into consideration. To ensure the child is better off. Social services would be making routine visits within the initial settling period of one year to ensure everything is okay. We would happily collaborate with any party wishing to put into a practice a more suitable method.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: Wait a min was we tricked into voting for absolute monarchy (Jamie Jamesson, Chancellor of Luthori 4269-4310)
