From Karav Dynasty
To Federal Republic of Solentia
Message High-ranking members of the Karav dynasty are calling on smaller parties to endorse the leader of the 2406 Party in the next elections. The fascists, disguising themselves as liberals, should not get 1 more term in presidency.

Regarding the Karav Dynasty who have no legitimate role to play within politics in the Independent and Sovereign State of Solentina. This House condemns and rejects the the above coment.

Whom smaller parties within this nation endorse as President is entirely a matter for them and is of no concern to any foreign political entity including the Karav Dynasty

Message"The Unionist Party concurs with the Karav Dynasty's position on this matter and shall not be condemning or rejecting anything. Foreign political entities are perfectly entitled to express their opinion and give advice to Solentian politicians no matter how much the Liberals are shamed by this clear foreign policy blunder."

MessageMembers of this House,

I am asking you today to send a loud and clear signal to the Karav Dynasty, and all other foreign powers who may follow their lead and attempt to interfere within the internal affairs of Solentia.

We are a proud people, with a long heritage of independence. We the Liberal Party state clearly that all parties are free to endorse which ever Presidential candidate they chose, or to endorse none. we have had disagreements with every well established political party in this House - that is what democracy is about.

If you agree with the sentiment of the Karav Dynasty's statement, fair enough, however we believe that politicains ought to send a clear message that we will not be bullied by a foreign power. The Solentian people want polititans to stand up for them and represent them, not some foreign governement.

A vote in this House on this resolution will will allow the Solentian people, and all of Terra to see which parties will, and which parties won't allow this nation to be intimidated.

Message"Ms. Senate Warden,

While the 2406 was startled to receive the unsolicited endorsement of Beluzia's Karav Dynasty, we do not feel that it shall make any impact on Solentian parties; indeed, their endorsement is more likely to have a negative effect upon us than positive in the isolationist Solentian Senate. Certainly the FIP must have spiders crawling down their back at the idea of foreign "interference" in the Solentian Senate. It is from them, not the Liberal Party, that we would expect such an isolationist response to come.

It is quite disappointing, Ms. Senate Warden, that you and your party think so little of your counterparts that you believe them able to be intimidated by a foreign entity. Let the Karavs, or anyone, endorse who they will. It will make little difference and were it not for this bill, a thinly veiled attack on Dame Alisa Kansar Harrison and her legitimate run for the Supreme Presidency, it would have been quickly forgotten.

And let us not forget WHY the Karav Dynasty would make such an endorsement: The Clarke family went far to offend the Karavs with their recent Terran Art Festival. Perhaps more questions are raised about the foreign policy qualifications of our ruling family than are raised about foreign endorsements of parties.

I yield the floor."

MessageHouse,

The Terran International Arts Festival was held within the borders of Solentia. If the Karavs chose not to attend, that was entirely their business. The Liberal Party will not be checking any of our proposals or future events held within this nation to see if they are acceptable to the Karavs

What is interesting is that the UP and 2406 seem to accept (or don't reject) the Karavs claims that the Liberals are 'fascists'. So you are thereby suggesting either of 2 things. Either the Solentian people are fascist and deliberately and continuously elect a fascist party to government, or the Solentian people are too ignorant to recognise the supposed fascists... Which are you suggesting?

Why exactly would the Liberal Party be defined as 'fascist'. We are the party that has rolled back the grip of the state on the lives of the Solentian people.

If you are not intimidated by the Karavs then support his bill and tell them that their advice is not wanted, and point out that is the Solentian people who determine the Presidency in our democracy and not a foreign political power.

Senators, let us see the would be 'lords', 'knights', 'sirs' and 'ladies' show some bravery and stand up for the rights of the Solentian people to determine their own future.

All those who believe in a free, independent, and strong Solentia please support this resolution.

Message"Ms. Senate Warden,

It is precisely the rhetoric you spout - that a 'free, independent, and strong' Solentia must necessarily be the one ruled by the Clarke family, that can be interpreted as fascism.

We refuse to support this resolution on the grounds that while the input of foreign entities is never necessary, it is - and should be - always welcome.

I yield."

Message"She talks of democracy! Where were their democratic principles when her own father gave her her job? Where were their democratic principles when in the backrooms of a Clarke Family mansion, they decided to form their own monarchy father and daughter to rule with no separation of powers? She's going to have to do better than spouting off about democracy if she's going to restore her credibility in this House."
