Believing that the State must take an active part in preserving and developing Zardic culture, and that items of great cultural value should be managed in public rather than private interests, the Labour Party calls upon the Government to support legislation that would see the State play a greater part in the maintenance, protection and development of our national culture. We also ask the Government to support a degree of liberalisation in copyright law with regards to art and technology. |
