Message | I ask all my colleagues to support this decrease in the burden of the Solentian People. Far too long have we been under a corrupt and imperialistic government. Lower the taxes! Free Solentians from the shackles of Liberal failures. Matthew du Pont Signoria Majority Leader |
Date | 20:02:34, November 09, 2013 CET | From | Grand Liberal Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of December 3573 |
Message | I suggest that Mr du Pont reads the details of this shambolic proposal. This house should be in no doubt that the only Solentians who will be enjoying this tax cut are the very richest in our soceity. The poor will actually be paying more, and coupled with the proposed reductions in government social mobility will be hit hard. The only ones who will be rubbing their hands with glee are the dispicable oil barons, who are content to line their own pockets, while giving nothing back to the nation. What’s more, why should companies, including foreign companies be free from any taxation? They have the benefit of trading in the peaceful and prosperous nation - they should be contributing something back to the lives of ordinary Solentians. It seems clear that this government is one of vested interests both at home, and abroad. Jack Reed Liberal Finance Spokesman |
