Bill: Changes in the Country

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Malivia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3577

Description[?]:

Some points of our culture are heavily influenced by the old religious monarchy. Since we are now a free secular republic, some things need to be changed. This bill needs 2/3 of the votes to pass.

NOTE: If this bill passes, we are supressing the following bills/laws/amendments:

http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=301316

It's a very monarchist constitution, and it's far from our current situation. A new ''Constitution'' is going to be made, with your help, of course.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE II: The city names will be changed from:

*Storm-Ridden Fortress to Colingrad
*Kakaktuar's Grave to Kubu
*Tower of Bhulkandra to Hitam Sungai
*Temple of Dendhârash to Komun Malivia
*Dead City of Idhaghra to Kuasa Rakyat
*Dead Springs of Washebar to Berharap
*Sultans' Agony to Modal Komunis
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE III: The name of nation will be changed from:

*Free People's Republic of Malivia to Popular Republic of Malivia

The current name is referred to the end of slavery in Malivia, and the proposed name is a shorter and more simple name.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE IV: About the proposals:

*THE NATIONAL ANIMAL AND THE NATIONAL SPORTS: We intend to prohibit the sadic games with tigers and any other animals. They're a legacy of the old inhuman monarchy and its fundamentalist traditions. We shall not kill animals for fun anymore.
*THE NAME OF THE REGIONS: ''Sultanate'' is deeply related with the old monarchy. No doubts about that. ''State'' is deeply related with our current free and secular republic.

Message''We don't understand why The Conservatives disagree with ALL the proposals. Are they for the sacrifice of poor animals? I don't think so. And we should not become enemies. At least for the next 4, maybe 8 years. During this period, we count on the Conservatives and the Freedom Party to sign a new and republican constitution.''

Ricardo Andrade, Head of Government.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
