Voting deadline: September 3788
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, Our corporations pay too much in taxes to the government. This bill lowers the corporate tax by only two points, down to 15% from 17%. This will help limit the size of our government and will allow businesses to grow and expand, thus helping the workers at the bottom. Thomas Land MP (U) Party Finance Adviser |

Message | If you want to reduce the corporate tax you need to reduce spending as well. In this time of war and conflicts, we need to keep our military forces strong. The other services are asking for more money, so cutting in them will decrease the quality of social services and public offices. |

Message | Unfortunately, we will not be able to deal with the Ministry of Finance, so what's the point of asking us? We do have a plan in place to reduce the deficit, but since nobody appears to be willing to compromise, and since everybody is far too engaged in trying to gain as much power as possible, I see no reason to lay it out at the moment. |

Message | UP: I don't see how we are unwilling to compromise. Already it looks like your other tax cuts will be passed by bipartisan support, not just this one. Minister of Finance made a perfect valid point. Off that one statement you can't work with the Minister? Or I am misunderstanding that? Anytime someone is going to propose tax cuts, spending increases that put us in further deficit or could put us there, we expect a plan from whatever party, even if we do it. And we take it a slow piece approach and not shock the system. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." - Ralph Nader |
