Bill: Therapeutics Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union of Work-Shy Elements

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2055

Description[?]:

Noting that the use of cannabis can be used responsibly in medical circumstances, this bill would legalise the use of cannabis as a painkiller across the nation, on the condition that it is administered by trained medical staff. Furthermore, cannabis can only be prescribed by a senior doctor and cannot be removed from hospital grounds without such a prescription. Any medical personnel found to be in breach of these conditions will have their medical license reviewed by the relevant authorities and may be subject to sentences under existing drug laws. This bill makes no claim to legalise drugs for recreational use or any purpose outside that of medicine. - Adapted from the “Medical Use of Painkilling Drugs" Bill.
