Message | Madam Speaker, This is reckless and unpatriotic dismantling of our nations' armed forces. The right to live in our nation has been jointed by national service for well over a half century, and is a deep seeded aspect of our National character. The paramilitaries are regulated and act in a similar manner to a neighborhood watch, for those who wish to serve and are simply in no position to do so. As for the land mines and WMD's, we would remind our fellow members that, by obtaining these weapons, only individuals with no sense of self preservation would ever assault our land. This bill is dangerous to the health and safety of our nation, and I can only pray my fellow parties will see why. I yield. |
