Description[?]:
Lifting up old thread from old Conservative party. Here is the current protocols, http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=384694 I think we need to update a few things including, the monarchy and the Royal family's house nane (because it's now Adlerberg-Villayn), the religion section (maybe we can include a few atheists and agnostics as well as a few Catholics/Patriarchals), ethnicity coukd use a bit of editing to reflect our Liberal immigration policies in the 3800s, language seems fine but could use a bit of tweaking. What are your thoughts? Please share them. Link to old thread: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=449332 |

Message | OOC: PCP: As I told in the last thread: the last protocol missed 2-3% of the population is swedish/german nobility that has resided in Adlerberg and neighbouring villages. RPL: No I don't think we ever used scottish names for example.... |

Message | OOC: As a long-serving player (I'm not a newbie if that's what you're all thinking!) I'm going to urge you to respect the country's historical culture and cultural protocols. Yes, update it to reflect immigration trends, but please don't mess around with it too much otherwise you'll ruin it. For many, Luthori = England. I'm not sure how 'making it British' would improve anything, or how you'd explain fitting in a Celtic population into the country narly 2,000 game years after it started. We already have Welsh populations in the game, Aloria should be a Welsh majority country, for example. It is a shame Scots and Irish groups have vanished, but they were never in Luthori in the first place. Also, we should definitely have an immigrant population from Ibutho, as well as from the colonies that were based on e.g. far-east asia or India, for example. To not have an immigrants from Ibutho - a country we share a significant border with - is scandalous. The same goes for Hobrazia. |

Message | I agree with the CPL. The Cultural Protocols should reflect immigration from nations that make sense. The proper term for the Jewish equivalent group from Beiteynu is Yeudish, FYI. Ibutho and Hobrazia would make sense, the German descended population that settled near Adlerberg does need to be added, ex-colonials, Jakanians, Aldurians, Hutorians, all make sense to have as well. I really don't see anything wrong with the religion numbers. As I have stated before, I think it would be a good idea to add basic information concerning the amount of republicans and monarchists within the nation in order to end the inevitable shouting matches that occur whenever republicans attempt to end the monarchy. Just a thought. |

Message | LNUP: I could agree to your first point however it needs to be stated that "german" names is far more common than the last cultural protocol stated, especially in the nobility. Yes I think we should add numbers over monarchists-republicans and believe we could have 20-80? |

Message | We should possibly add religious vs non-religious too. Obviously its a majority Christian country (whatever they call it in the game), but how religious is the overall population in terms of church going. That might be too specific but just a thought. And what about the current flag? Should we go back to the old Luthori flag. |

Message | Good points.... But as it is in today's Sweden. Many are members of the State Church but a few visits services, however churchgoing in RP might be varying over time depending on economical issues, internal church reforms, popular bishops and if dominating parties are religious. Which flag du you have in mind? This was the flag the nation had when I started in the 2400's. |

Message | Looking at the political opinions of the nation could also give us insight to that matter. The original flag I'm talking about is this one: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/particracy/images/2/2b/Luthoriflag.PNG/revision/latest?cb=20130618122328 |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
