Bill: Death Penalty Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Action Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3954

Description[?]:

The death penalty should be reintroduced for murderers and child abusers. These scum deserve to die. Where is the justice in allowing them to live out cushy lives in plush prisons, where they get sattellite television, cigarettes and everything else they ask for?

Bobby Powell
Chairman of the National Action Party

MessageWhile we disagree with the description of the Hutorian Prison system as described by the NAP we agree that murderers, molesters and rapists should be executed. Those crimes are heinous and those who are convicted beyond a reasonable doubt should not have the right to have their lives paid for by the Hutorian taxpayer for the rest of it.

MessageMr. Powell,

It is the Federalist Party's belief that all life should be respected and preserved. With the exception of two cases defense of self and in a just war as outlined by a certain Hosian philosopher. As such we can not in good conscience support this proposal.

Lawrence Harding MP (F)

OOC: The philosopher I'm speaking of is Augustine however, I am unsure of the IC equivalent so I just alluded to one.
