Message | Mr. Speaker, The Civic Party has some concern with this bill, mainly with Article 1. The Provincial Parks System, a collective entity that currently manages day to day operations of all provincial parks and forest, has since its creation done a marvelous job with the management of parks and forestry. The Provincial Parks System has far exceeded expectations and would be a smart move financially to allow them to continue to own and manage forestry in our Federal Republic. Creating a new national agency to oversee, own and fund day to day operations would make no sense consider the current government cannot even agree on a federal budget or a small dip into a surplus to ensure continued growth in our economy.
