Bill: Withdrawal from the KFS

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party of Hutori

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3978

Description[?]:

The KFS is no longer actively benefiting our Federal Republic and it is time we withdraw. The KFS was a organization supported by the House of Steurt-Adelia and they had deep ties, now that the monarchy is no longer we have no purpose of being involved and helping to fund such a service.

MessageOOC: Question (To either the SPH or the Federalists, since I know you both know a great deal more about this than I), isn't the KFS in competition with the International Terran Bank, which is already implemented here?

MessageOOC: Yes, that's why I am proposing that we withdraw from the treaty coupled with the fact the terms of the treaty agreement requires us to set aside 5% of our Finance budget to fund the KFS and other terms that bind our economy to it.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Federalist Party fully supports this proposal.

Senator Stephen Johnson (F)

OOC: The SPH is correct and I'd also like to point out that the ITB has more economic and international power. Which means it is more beneficial to us than the KFS.

MessageOOC: One note... this was never endorsed by the House of Steuart-Adelia, which is Hutori's family of Royal Pretenders... it was endorsed by the Conservative Party of Hutori back when KFS WAS the premier financial service in the world. If asked today the Royal Family, who are RPed as Hutori's wealthiest family today regardless, would heavily support leaving this as they have massive personal capital invested in the ITB

IC: Mr. Speaker

While we recognize that this family has no formal power, either constitutionally anymore or with no Senators elected we would like to protest our name being directly tied to the KFS Treaty. This was a Treaty passed by a former political party without any personal support of our family. In fact we greatly support pulling out of this Treaty considering how irrelevant KFS has become in the modern financial world and fully endorse withdrawing.
